✿ DIY Pressing Spray

This is the recipe I use for my pressing spray. I love finding ways to save money so I can buy more fabric, don't you?

❉ 2 cups distilled water

❉ 2 oz  Vodka ~ needed to make the essential oil mix in with the water. Rubbing alcohol cannot be used because it's a different type of alcohol. It's a chemistry thing. Yes, people look at me weird because I have a bottle of Vodka in my stash bin. I'm used to odd looks. If you want it to be unscented, simply leave out the essential oil and vodka.

❉ 6-12 drops of 100% pure essential oil ~ I like Sweet Pea, Lilac or Lavender. You can find scented oil at Hobby Lobby in their soap making aisle.

❉ 1/3 cup of liquid starch

Shake well before each use.

I heard from Mary Jane @ All Wrapped Up For U and she had this to share:

I read your post on pressing spray, I use the same recipe however I do use rubbing alcohol and it works great.  Smells better too.  The vodka had too strong of a smell and was too expensive so I tried other things.  It blends as well. I thought you'd like to know.
So there you go, another alternative to try.

Thanks, Mary Jane!

Make sure you go to Karen's @ Sew Many Ways and make a pretty spray bottle cover for your pressing spray.
